It's called Check designs, and it helps spot inconsistencies in your designs, including things like hard-coded colours, spacing issues, detached components, library mismatches, accessibility contrast problems, and so on.
Not the flashiest update in the world, but it's a response to something that slows you down - checking and fixing small individual issues that together result in visual drift from consistency. Things like:
One slightly different spacing value.
One detached component.
One colour that does not quite match the system.
One screen that drifts away from the rest of the product.
Individually, none of these things feel huge. But over time, they make a product feel less polished, less consistent and harder to maintain. They're hard to spot and slow down the review process.
Check designs feels especially useful for small teams, embedded designers, and individuals. When you are moving fast, you do not always have a big QA process or a full design team checking every detail before something goes live. Being able to rely on a tool within the design workflow really helps.
It's a good reminder that design systems are not just about making things look consistent but also about helping teams keep quality high without delays or friction.
